Presentation at the annual Day of Parliamentary Research, 16 June, Vienna Austria

On June 16, 2026, the Parliamentary Administration of Austria hosted its annual Day of Parliamentary Research at the historic Austrian Parliament building in Vienna. This year’s international conference focused on a timely dilemma: the role of reason, emotion and sensation in modern parliaments. Our RETOOL partner Aron Buzogany from BOKU University, presented the panel: Why does democracy need emotions? The panel brought together researchers from across Europe to analyse how the emotion influence democratic systems. This presentation and panel contribution form the research currently being carried out within the framework of the RETOOL project.
